Peaches is keen to be a mum as she announces pregnancy
Former punk rocker Bob Geldof is to become a grandfather.
The news came yesterday from his daughter Peaches who is expecting her first baby with fiance Thomas Cohen.
A spokeswoman for the TV presenter said: "Peaches Geldof and her fiance Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child.
"Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both of their families who are equally excited for the baby's arrival."
The 22-year-old last made headlines in 2009 when she divorced rock musician Max Drummey after a six-month marriage.
The pair married at a secret drive-in wedding ceremony in Las Vegas after a 10-day romance.
However she has grown up in the glare of publicity as the daughter of the Band Aid humanitarian, and the late Channel 4 presenter Paula Yates, who died in 2000, aged 40, from an accidental heroin overdose.
Five years earlier Ms Yates had split from Mr Geldof following an affair with the late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, who was found dead in a hotel room in Sydney in 1997.
Ms Geldof and fiance Mr Cohen (20) announced their engagement on December 11 but said their big day would be some time off.
"Yes, I'm engaged! We don't want to get married for a couple of years yet," she said at the time.
