I see faces - am I normal?

I’m too embarrassed to ask my doctor about this, but I keep seeing faces in all sorts of places, in the pattern of the carpet, in the marbling of the bathroom tiles, in the trees, clouds — everywhere.
It’s probably just a trick of the eye but I am beginning to get concerned that perhaps I’m not normal. Do you think there’s something wrong with me? FB

As long as these are just images of people you can conjure out of different textures, then you are quite likely normal.
Do you remember lying on your back as a child looking at the clouds and seeing all sorts of things in them? This is probably only an extension of that.
It would only become a problem if you started worrying about these ‘people’ coming to life and perhaps threatening you in some way. That might indicate anxiety or depression and would be something to talk to your doctor about.
As long as it's just a fertile imagination, I don't think you need to worry.
