Marcella Detroit does the Moonwalk

Marcella Detroit is performing at the fundraising Playtex Moonwalk - after her own breast cancer scare.

After her recent stint on Popstar to Operastar, the singer is returning to the UK to perform in Hyde Park for the Playtex Moonwalk, Walk the Walk, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness on May 15.

It's a cause close to her heart, as she has had her own breast cancer scare, although fortunately she was given the all clear.

Marcella said: "I was lucky - a lot of people aren't."

It's not the first time the former Shakespears Sister star has leant her support to the event. She says: "I did it about three years ago, and it's a great experience. You meet a lot of inspiring people."

Now, she's hoping to inspire the runners with her new single, All is Forgiven.

Marcella said: "It's about letting go of all the resentments and hurts than can fester.

"My message is just for everybody to be in tune with their bodies."
