Gardai investigate fatal car crash in Cork

Gardai are investigating a car crash in Co Cork, in which a young woman was killed.

The 25-year-old was the driver of a car which collided with another on Commons Road shortly before one o'clock this morning.

A passenger and the driver of the second car were injured, and were taken to Cork University Hospital.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Gardai at Watercourse Road on 021 4552860.

Meanwhile, a second man has died as a result of a collision on Friday in County Limerick.

31-year-old Polish National Adam Zajac, with an address in Castletroy, was the driver of a car that collided with a parked lorry on the N21 at Clogh, Rathkeale.

He has passed away at Limerick Regional Hospital.

The other man killed - who was 30 years old - was also a Polish National.
