Ireland remembers Holocaust victims

Ireland is remembering the Holocaust today.

Over 6 million Jews died at the hands of Nazi persecutors during the 1930s and 40s.

The Holocaust Memorial Day has been running in Ireland for the past six years.

Only one known Irish Jew was killed in the Holocaust.

However, Ireland became home to around a dozen survivors some of whom will be participating in today's service.
