Two men arrested over non-fatal shooting in Swords

Two men have been arrested in connection to a shooting incident in Swords, north County Dublin last night.

A 16-year-old is in a stable condition in Beaumont Hospital after he was shot while walking with three friends through St Cronan's Close in Swords.

Just before 8.30pm they were approached by two males, one of whom fired what is believed to be a shotgun at the injured party.

Gardai searched the area and arrested two men aged 16 and 36.
