UK cyclist attempts to break world record

A furniture maker from the UK begins his attempt to break the world record for cycling around the globe later.

31-year-old James Bowthorpe, from south London, sets off from Hyde Park this afternoon.

He aims to complete his journey in five-and-a-half months, and knock three weeks off the current record.

He is raising funds for research into Parkinson's disease.
