Bafta stars take their seats early
Some of Hollywood's biggest names took their seats early as organisers of the film Baftas made their preparations for the biggest night in the UK movie calendar.
Although they were not actually there in person, stars such as Matt Damon , Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett were allowed to take the best positions in London's Royal Opera House.
The team working on the EE British Academy Film Awards were marking out the guests' seats with place-names and photos of their faces ahead of Sunday's big night.
Several of the prominent attendees were confirmed, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Bradley Cooper and Dame Judi Dench among them.
Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Martin Scorsese will also be treading the red carpet at the ceremony, which is being screened by BBC One.
Helping to present the awards will be the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Irons, Kiefer Sutherland, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Stanley Tucci and Uma Thurman.
