Lions display a spectacle to behold and feat to be proud of
During a weekend of outstanding sporting events, some of the most welcome headlines were made by the British and Irish Lions, who drew the series with the All Blacks in New Zealand.
Few people had given the Lions any chance of success against arguably the world's greatest rugby squad, but the critics were proven wrong. The matches were hard-fought, with great skill and passion on display from both sides.
The Lions, including the Irish and Ulster players, acquitted themselves well and came very close to winning the series.
In the end, a tie was a fair result and the real winner was the game of rugby itself.
