Hotels group Andras has finished a £5m, 60-bedroom extension to its Holiday Inn Express in south Belfast.

The University Street hotel now has a new two-storey bedroom wing and underground parking.

It's the latest expansion for Andras, which is also opening a new Hampton by Hilton in the city centre.

It will be its sixth property in Belfast.

Work on the Holiday Inn Express was carried out by MSM Contracts. The firm is also refurbishing the Andras Crowne Plaza Hotel at Shaw's Bridge on the outskirts of the city.

Both projects are being funded by Danske Bank.

Andras director Rajesh Rana commented: "The past number of years have seen us invest over £25m into our properties and the economy of Belfast.
