A new digital map has been launched in the Co Antrim coastal town of Carrickfergus to help guide visitors around the area.

Carrickfergus Enterprise has spent £20,000 on the initiative, aimed at connecting tourism businesses more closely with visitors.

Tourists will be able to use the plan to create their own journey experience. Businesses including hotels, restaurants and attractions can register to the platform to be listed.

Bill Adamson, chairman of Carrickfergus Enterprise, said: "Northern Irish tourism has an immense amount to offer, from The Gobbins to the Giant's Causeway. We're passionate about showcasing that offering by connecting the visitors with the local Northern Ireland experience.

"The route planner educates visitors and enhances their experience by making the most out of their journey."
