Daniel and Majella to bring B&B show to US audience

A Co Fermanagh B&B and restaurant looks set to cash in on a visit by Irish country singer Daniel O'Donnell and his wife Majella as part of their reality television show, Daniel and Majella's B&B Road Trip.

Watermill Lodge in Lisnaskea will feature in the couple's new round Ireland road trip series which will be screened by RTE on Tuesday and broadcast at a later date in the United States.

The award-winning accommodation,standing on the shores of Upper Lough Erne, was a winner in last year's Northern Ireland Hospitality Awards, which recognise talented individuals who have contributed to their business and industry.

It is also recommended by Georgina Campbell's ireland-guide.com.

Watermill Lodge was established as a wedding venue three years ago.

It opened 10 years ago and was awarded the Best Restaurant in Fermanagh prize for five consecutive years in the Irish Restaurant Awards.

The awards recognise achievement and excellence in the restaurant and hospitality industry throughout the island of Ireland in 21 categories and celebrate all aspects of the industry - from chefs and restaurants to food producers,

Watermill Lodge has also been recommended in the Michelin Guide 2015.

Proprietor Pascal Brissaud was delighted that his business was selected to feature in next week's episode of Daniel and Majella's B&B Road Trip after being approached by producers.

He said that he welcomes approximately 8,000 visitors annually.

Mr Brissaud said that the venue's location at Kilmore Quay would appeal to American visitors, particularly those who enjoy fishing.

He reported that the celebrity couple - who stayed overnight at the end of March - were "very happy" with their visit to Co Fermanagh .

The couple visited Watermill Lodge before moving on to Daniel's home county of Donegal.
