Little Wing creating 25 jobs at new Whiteabbey restaurant
Local pizza chain Little Wing is opening a new restaurant in Whiteabbey in November, creating 25 jobs as part of an almost £500,000 investment.
The project involves renovating a site off the Shore Road to bring the homegrown chain to the area. It will bring its total number of branches around the province to nine.
The restaurant, due to open on November 14, will cater for 60 diners.
Luke Wolsey, managing director of Little Wing, said: "We have been exploring continued expansion of the Little Wing brand across Northern Ireland, so when this space became available in Whiteabbey, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to serve the community.
"This investment in our ninth restaurant marks an exciting time for Little Wing as we also prepare to open the nomination process for our Little Stars bursary initiative for the sixth year."
The bursary is aimed at helping local children's clubs.
Mr Wolsey explained: "Playing an active role in the communities we serve is an integral part of our ethos. We are proud Little Wing has donated over £125,000 to local community groups, schools and charities through various sponsorship, bursaries and event fundraisers."

Little Wing will begin recruiting for the positions, including management, waiting staff, pizza chef and kitchen porter roles, in the coming weeks.
The chain's latest venture will bring the number of staff employed by Little Wing to 185.
The firm is part of the Beannchor Group of companies, which also includes Belfast hotels The Merchant and Bullitt, as well as a string of pubs and bars.
