Low sugar pancakes make a sweet deal for Belfast bakery
One of Northern Ireland’s largest bakeries has landed a deal to sell its ‘reduced sugar’ pancakes in Asda stores across the province.
Allied Bakeries will supply 16 stores here with its new Sunblest Reduced Sugar Pancakes. The deal expands on an existing relationship with the retailer which sees the east Belfast-based bakery supply 80 branded and own-label products to the supermarket giant.
Brian Conway, Asda buying manager Northern Ireland, said: “Pancakes are a firm favourite amongst NI consumers — so we’re excited to expand our offering in Northern Ireland with the new Sunblest Reduced Sugar Pancakes.”
