New Greggs for Belfast's student hub

By Staff Reporter

Bakery chains Greggs launches its 15th Northern Ireland store in Belfast's student area today.

It's opening up on Botanic Avenue close to Queen's University, creating 10 jobs.

It will sell the full range of Greggs' products, including new summer salads and snacks.

Alex Rankin, Greggs area manager, said: "We're delighted to open our new shop in Botanic Avenue. The area is such a thriving student hub and I know the shop will prove a big hit - especially as it is in such close proximity to Queen's.

"The new shop will also have seats, so students, local people and commuters alike can take time to sit down as well as enjoy our food on the go."

In 2015 the Belfast Telegraph revealed Greggs' plans for up to 50 new shops here.
