Northern Ireland hotel granted 'elite' status
Belfast city centre's Holiday Inn, one of six owned by Andras Hotels, has been ranked number one Holiday Inn Hotel in the UK and Ireland.
It was granted 'elite' status by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHS), owner of the Holiday Inn brand.
The Holiday Inn is located on Hope Street and owned and operated by Andras Hotels, the city's biggest hotel group.
It's one of only five hotels out of 133 in the IHG group to have achieved elite status, gained through guest satisfaction survey results.
General manager Vikrant Tyagi said staff training had helped it achieve a high standard: "For the past number of years, we have concentrated a lot of our time and money into attracting, training and retaining the best people for the right jobs."
The company's own academy enables it to train and upskill staff.
