St Patrick's Day unveiling for Belfast hotel's refurbished pub
The revamped Ten Square hotel in Belfast is ready to unveil the final phase of its £20m investment with the opening of its 'rejuvenated' Doffer Bar this St Patrick's Day.
The Doffer is a traditional Irish bar with a stand-alone entrance while a new restaurant - Josper's Steakhouse - will add another element to the city's offering.
Before being acquired by Loughview Leisure Group in 2015, Ten Square was a 22-bedroom boutique hotel.
The group transformed three Belfast buildings located across Linenhall Street and Donegal Square South into a 131-bed four-star property, with new reception, rooftop Loft Bar and a revamped events space.
Chris Kearney, Loughview Leisure financial director, said: "Given Belfast's rich and colourful linen heritage and the fact the original building was a linen warehouse, owned by former Belfast Lord Mayor, Sir Otto Jaffa, we wanted to retain that character and celebrate the hotel's back story with The Doffer."
