Getting the message across in digital age is aim of PRCA conference

Communicating in the digital age is the theme of this year’s PR summit in Northern Ireland run by the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA).

The conference takes place next Thursday at Ten Square Hotel in Belfast and will feature four speakers.

Two of them, Liz Young, head of corporate communications at the PSNI, and Morgane Campioni, head of digital at Independent News and Media NI, joined PRCA chairman Paul McErlean to launch the event.

Mr McErlean said: “The digital revolution of the past decade has transformed the way we do business, bringing the organisations we represent into direct contact with mass audiences.

“Whether running a campaign, or handling a crisis, digital platforms are an essential part of the communications mix and we need to learn from each other to keep pace with the ever-changing media landscape.

“Our keynote speakers will bring a wealth of experience and this is a terrific opportunity to debate the issues with skilled experts.”

John Compton Director of Corporate Affairs at PwC and Robin Kiely, Head of Communications, will also attend.

The keynote speakers will be joined on the panel by senior media and PR practitioners, including Terry Brennan Head of News and Programmes at UTV and Susie Brown from Tourism NI.

A limited number of tickets for the summit are still available.
