Convenience store chain Centra is opening a new £400,000 shop in one of Belfast's newest office buildings, creating 15 jobs.

The newest addition to Musgrave Group's Northern Ireland portfolio will open at River House on High Street to accommodate the growing number of office workers in the area.

Nigel Maxwell, sales director at Centra Northern Ireland, said: "Our focus is on redefining convenience - providing our shoppers with a healthier offering and innovative ranges, particularly in food-to-go. Centra River House is the latest example of our stores responding to the changing needs of the busy consumer and we wish Donagh and his team every success."

The River House store is the fourth Centra for owner Donagh McGovern.

The independent retailer already runs three other stores in Stranmillis, Malone Road and Donegall Street.

He said: "We are proud to be opening the doors of River House and look forward to welcoming customers and providing them with a one-stop shop for modern convenience."

An area with free USB charging ports and Wi-Fi as well as a hot and cold deli will also feature.
