£1m Lisburn day care facility will create 30 new jobs

By Emma Deighan

A new £1m nursery has been planned for the Lisburn area, creating 30 new jobs.

The investment by Clear Day Nurseries, which has over 170 staff and six other units in Northern Ireland, coincides with its £250,000 refurbishment of the Little Gems Day Nursery in Dundonald. The Lisburn facility, which will be based at the former Point Restaurant on Bridge Street offering 100 child spaces places, is part of the firm's growth plans.

"There is a shortage of day care facilities in the area so we identified it as a prime location... The new nursery will be opening in Q1 2019 and we expect places to fill fast," said operations manager Audrey McCracken.
