On the road to success: 12 posts up for grabs on training programme

By Lisa Smyth

A business in Lisburn that offers high-end automotive customisation and upgrades is offering 12 training places with the potential for full-time employment at the end.

Driven Performance is an extension to Driven Club, an exclusive and private members club for supercar owners in Northern Ireland.

Speaking during a visit to their premises as part of Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council's Business Engagement Visit programme, Alderman William Leathem and Alderman Allan Ewart congratulated owners Paul Gray and James Peddie for setting up the businesses.

As a result of growing demand for their services, they have set up the Driven Performance Training Programme, with support being provided by the Department for the Economy's Bridge to Employment programme. It will create 12 full-time skilled posts, for those who are 18 and unemployed.

"It's great to see a personal interest turned into a profitable business," said Alderman Leathem.
