Magherafelt home is new concept in care provision
Care home provider Macklin has created 15 jobs at its new accommodation in Magherafelt.
The group has launched a new "lifestyle" concept in provision at its latest property, Milesian Manor. The facility has been developed with support from Bank of Ireland UK.
Macklin Care Homes, which has six properties, is one of Northern Ireland's largest care providers.
The new 25,00sq ft Milesian Manor development offers residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a "high spec contemporary property" that was designed by Gareth McFarland Interiors.
The brand new building, which opened last week, offers each resident an en-suite bedroom and facilities including a cinema, wellness garden and spa bathroom.
Director Cara Macklin said: "We took the development at Milesian Manor as an opportunity to move the care home industry forward in Northern Ireland."
She added that Macklins had looked at similar provision in the UK, Europe and Asia.
