Mascott Construction backing the Excellence in Marketing category

Belfast-based company Mascott Construction has said it's proud to sponsor the Excellence in Marketing category in the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in partnership with Ulster Bank.

It comes as Mascott reports an excellent first year's trading, delivering over £10m of projects. It was acquired by Gareth Loye in 2016 to complement the services carried out from his existing company, M&M Contractors, which specialises in civil, utilities and infrastructure projects.

Gareth - who was also a winner in last year's awards - is chief executive for both companies.

He said: "The acquisition was part of our strategic vision to diversify within the construction industry in order to offer our clients a company that has the ability to build, fit, connect and maintain their property.

"Mascott was a company rich in experience and with the people and processes to complete the most complex construction, fit-out and refurbishment projects.

"Our first-year trading together has seen the companies complete over £30m of projects.

"The team has evolved as we have recruited some of the best professionals in the industry who have brought their experience of delivering projects for blue-chip clients within the retail, commercial, residential, public and office sectors."

Gareth added: "It's been a fantastic first year and I look forward to the next 12 months which will see us add to our client list, grow and develop our team and continue to deliver excellence across the UK and Ireland."

Mascott has completed projects for many of the UK and Ireland's leading companies including Randox, Tayto, Mount Charles and Firstsource. It is working on the major redevelopment of the former BHS unit in Belfast for M&G Investments and a 14-storey mixed use project for Village Homes in Montgomery Street.

Gareth added: "It's great to get out on site and see first-hand the quality projects we are delivering.

"We have dedicated, enthusiastic project delivery teams which certainly helps in the high-pressure environment of construction.

"I'm excited for the future of both M&M Contractors and Mascott Construction - we have clear strategies in place, focused on maintaining sustainable growth, with clients who know they can trust us to deliver.

"To support our growth, we will aim to recruit the best people in the industry and successfully become a contractor and employer of choice."
