The owner of five hotels here has invested £20,000 in its own speciality beer.
McKeever Hotel Group, which owns the Adair Arms, Dunsilly Hotel, Dillons Hotel, Corrs Corner and the Dunadry Hotel has created The Pecking Peacock to give guests a "distinctive experience unique to Northern Ireland" said Bridgene McKeever, marketing director at the Group.
The Pecking Peacock will be brewed by Hillstown Farm Brewing Company and sold exclusively at all five sites. The hotelier has also added two peacocks to the gardens of the Dunadry Hotel. It's a craft lager brewed using water, malt, yeast and hops with a "subtle fruit flavour".
Ms McKeever said: "I am delighted that we can finally share the news with everyone about this new product. It has been a long time in the making and I can't wait for everyone to try it.
"As a family-run company, we want to champion other local businesses to help drive not only the local economy but to position Northern Ireland and beyond as the number one hotspot for hospitality and tourism.
"This is something we will continue to strive for."
