£1m cash injection for Tyrone waste technology company
A fresh £1m cash injection will help a Co Tyrone waste technology firm boost export sales in key markets, the company has said. Waste Systems designs and manufactures machines to separate some of the most difficult to recycle waste materials.
The equipment helps to separate materials of commercial value, allowing companies to reduce landfill costs and secure revenue from recovered materials.
Across Europe, it's thought materials valued up to £4.5bn are put into landfill each year.
Earlier this year the Plumbridge firm, which employs 20, struck a deal with UK distributor EPS. The company is currently working towards a deal with a major US distributor.
The investment from Bank of Ireland's Kernel Capital Growth Fund is designed to help SMEs and is supported by Invest NI and EU funding.
