30 jobs to be created in fashion store first

By Lesley Houston

Thirty jobs are to be created in Belfast when the 'dual fascia' Simply Be and Jacamo store opens its doors at the city's CastleCourt Shopping Centre in August.

The store, in the prominent unit formerly occupied by fashion brand Republic, is the first in Ireland selling Simply Be women's fashions and Jacamo menswear.

The brands are part of retailer N Brown Group plc and are usually sold by catalogue.

The Belfast store is part of the Manchester-headquartered company's plans to open seven new stores over the next four months.

Applications are being accepted for the available job vacancies, the company said.

Colin McIlvenney will manage the 5,700 sq ft store which will offer a click-and-collect service and in-store kiosks, with existing online or catalogue customers also offered the service of using their account when making purchases in store.

Mr McIlvenny said: "Simply Be and Jacamo are fantastic brands and I'm committed to creating a store that provides an easy and fun shopping experience for everyone."
