Aer Lingus starts flights to Boston

Aer Lingus has started its new Shannon to Boston route, marking the return of a daily year-round US service from the airport.

The new transatlantic business is one of the key aspects of Aer Lingus' renewed commitment to the independent airport, the airline said.

"It's certainly a day to celebrate – we've been working on these services for quite some time,'' said Aer Lingus chief executive, Christoph Mueller.
