Bank cafe in east Belfast closes

A popular cafe in east Belfast has closed its doors for the last time.

Bank cafe bar located on the Belmont Road has ceased trading as of Tuesday October 6.

The popular venue told its customers the news via a message posted on their Facebook page last night which prompted dozens of upset to post messages.

It said: "We are very sorry to report that as of Tuesday, 6th, October 2015 Bank Cafe Bar will no longer trade.

"We would like to sincerely thank every last lovely customer who visited us.

"To all those who enjoyed the food, service, atmosphere and tunes, we will miss you all very much but hope we will see you all again in the future."

One devastated customer posted: "Devastated to hear this. We absolutely loved the Bank. Fraser you could not have done more to provide the best food and coffee with the best and friendliest staff I have ever come across.

"We will miss popping in every week for a bit of banter with you all. We wish you all the best of luck in the future."
