Belfast cafe Canteen to offer 'Ulster's tastiest foods'
A new cafe on east Belfast's Belmont Road has opened, vowing to champion the best produce of Northern Ireland.
Canteen - the former operators of the restaurant at The MAC theatre in Belfast city centre - said products from Abernethy Butter, Leggygowan Farm Goats Cheese and Cavanagh Free Range Eggs will all feature in its new menu.
Head chef Barry Heaton has joined forces with Joery Castle, owner of acclaimed restaurant the Boat House in Bangor, to develop the new menu.
Mr Heaton said: "Our ethos has and always will be to source our products locally. We hope our diners will enjoy the menu we have created from local produce which is very keenly priced."
