Belfast IT firm lands three contracts worth £7m
A Belfast IT company has sealed three new contracts worth over £7m.
Novosco, based at the Northern Ireland Science Park in the city's Titanic Quarter, has signed deals with a global financial services firm, a retail chain and a recruitment company.
They include an 18-month managed service contract with a global insurance business to provide storage and back-up IT infrastructure and services at locations in the Republic and England.
In the deal with an English retail chain, Novosco architected, designed and implemented a new datacentre network for the entire business.
Also secured is a three-year contract to provide a fully managed IT service to a leading recruitment business with more than 500 employees.
"We opened new offices in Dublin and Birmingham last year to complement our Belfast headquarters and this has enabled us to significantly grow our business in the rest of the UK and Ireland," said Novosco managing director, Patrick McAliskey.
"While Northern Ireland remains Novosco's key market, we see significant opportunities for growth in GB and RoI."
Founded in 2007 with the merger of two local IT firms, Novosco now employs 88 people, with offices in Dublin and Birmingham, in addition to its Belfast base.
It provides cloud computing and IT infrastructure services, including infrastructure optimisation, disaster recovery, managed and connectivity services.
