Northern Ireland recruiters MCS Group has unveiled plans to triple the size of its Belfast operations by creating 20 new 'in-house' positions in £1m investment.
The posts are being created within the next two years to meet the demands of Northern Ireland's growing IT, engineering, financial and professional services sector.
MCS Group, which has just completed a move to a new, larger Belfast base to accommodate its growth, said its investment pledge of £950,000 reflected the confidence that it has in the pace of growth among the private sector.
Set up in 2008, company directors Barry and Louise Smyth are confident about the prospects for their business and the sector.
Mr Smyth, MCS Group managing director, said the demand for personnel within the growing sectors was behind the firm's growth.
"The steadily rising demand for our services from companies keen to expand capacity, improve areas of expertise or simply add to their existing skill sets underpins our strategy for growth."
Mrs Smyth, commercial director, added: "Supported by several recent high-profile job announcements, demand in the finance, accountancy and banking arena remains strong, though, overall, we see much more growth to come in all of these areas." She said a quarter of the new positions have already been filled and that through its new offices at The Linenhall, the firm would continue to "work closely with a range of high-profile industry leaders and SMEs who trust us to deliver the talent they require to grow and prosper".
