Bench creates 10 jobs with pop-up store at The Outlet

By Staff Reporter

Clothing retailer Bench has created 10 jobs with a new pop-up store at Co Down shopping centre The Outlet. The casual brand will join retailers such as Jaeger, LK Bennett, Next Outlet, Timberland, Nike Factory Store, Marks & Spencer Outlet and Smyth & Gibson at the Banbridge retail centre.

The Bench fashion brand was founded in the UK in 1989. The chain has 23 stores in the UK and Ireland and a further 55 around across the world.

Chris Nelmes, centre manager, said: "Bench is the perfect addition to our existing fashion and lifestyle brand offering and will complement our existing fashion retail mix. The arrival of Bench is sure to please shoppers in the run-up to Christmas and beyond that, with fantastic savings to be found in-store.

"In early 2017 we look forward to welcoming more new brands to The Outlet, further expanding our consumer offering."

Banbridge-based Lotus Group and London investment firm Tristan Capital Partners bought The Outlet and Co Antrim retail park Junction One this year.

Alastair Coulson, Lotus' director of asset and property management, said the deal represented confidence in the market.
