Boom times for Boomer after it secures new deal with Saudis

Boomer Industries has secured new business in Saudi Arabia.

The Lisburn company is supplying PVC products to Nesma Spacemaker, a modular building company based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia's main oil production centre.

The products are for a major project that Nesma is carrying out on behalf of Saudi Aramco, the Kingdom's state-run petroleum business.

"We've been exporting to the Middle East for over 30 years and have developed a network of business contacts in key markets there including Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and now Afghanistan." Andrew Robinson, Boomer Industries' managing director said.

"Saudi Arabia certainly offers significant opportunities in construction supplies and services but it's an extremely competitive marketplace and one which demands a substantial investment particularly in terms of time in the market."

"This important contract for Boomer Industries shows the benefits that can result from a sharp focus on Saudi Arabia, still among the world's most dynamic markets and one currently investing heavily in construction and infrastructure projects," said Dr Vicky Kell, Invest Northern Ireland trade director.
