Boucher Road showroom for sale at £750k

By Rachel Martin

A two-storey car showroom in the centre of Belfast’s bustling motor sales district has hit the market at £750,000.

The site on the Boucher Road is currently used as a Ford dealership, fetching around £100,000 a year in rent.

However, estate agents McKibbin suggest it may also offer a redevelopment opportunity.

The 0.82 acre site is held on a long-term leasehold from Belfast City Council, subject to annual rent of £40,000, and boasts more than 8,000 sq ft of retail space.

The showroom is based just off one of the city’s arterial motorways and around two miles from the city centre.

It’s also surrounded by big-name retail brands including Harvey Norman, Smyth’s Toys, DFS, DW Sports, Lakeland, Argos, Pure Gym, M&S Simply Food and Chain Reaction as well as several other car dealerships including SERE, Mitsubishi, Seat, Vauxhall and Honda.

The property is let to Ford Retail for a term of five years from February 2015.

The dealership is responsible for the building’s upkeep.
