A warm reception for a new Land Rover model has helped create two new jobs in Belfast.
Charles Hurst Land Rover said it has invested £1.6m in new showrooms ahead of the launch of the Range Rover Evoque and has appointed an additional sales manager and sales executive.
It has already taken 50 orders for the new vehicle while 6,000 orders have been placed across the UK.
"We have experienced significant growth for Land Rover in Northern Ireland, continually exceeding the wider downward trend for new car sales in recent years," Stephen Surgenor from Charles Hurst said. "Local interest in the new Range Rover Evoque has been huge and the state-of-the-art showroom couldn't have come at a more appropriate time.
"The Range Rover brand, which is synonymous with luxury off-road capability, is one of the world's most renowned luxury, premium SUV manufacturers and we felt it was important that our showroom mirrored this beautifully."
The showroom is located within the Charles Hurst Multi Franchise complex on Belfast's Boucher Road and will provide sales, servicing and parts.
