CDE Global creating 110 jobs and new £10m hub in Northern Ireland

By Margaret Canning

Tyrone manufacturer CDE Global is to spend £10m on new offices at its headquarters, the company announced today. The Cookstown offices, which will have room for 400 people, have received planning permission, the company said.

Construction work is due to start next month, with the building to be finished within a year-and-a-half.

The firm designs and manufactures materials washing and classification equipment for heavy industry around the world. Managing director Brendan McGurgan said: "Our new offices on the Sandholes Road will provide office space for all staff based at our headquarters across engineering, product development, sales and marketing, project management, health and safety, procurement, logistics, HR and finance.

"The additional space will allow for our planned increase in employee numbers from the current level of just over 200. The new office will not only accommodate this growth in numbers but also allow for further expansion in the years after 2021."

In April the firm committed to creating 110 new jobs - it has 200 at the moment - over the next six years as part of a £6.8m investment in the business. It has also boosted assembly space in Cookstown by 32%.
