A family tea and coffee company in Belfast which has been in business for one-and-a-quarter centuries has refurbished its premises.
SD Bell & Co is a fourth-generation company made up of tea rooms and a coffee house in Knock in the east of the city.
It also imports tea and coffee, selling its products online and in places such as Belfast City Airport and St George's Market.
The company's refurbishment has been funded by Danske Bank.
As part of the overhaul, the firm removed internal walls and carried out improvements on the premises, which also hosts live music.
Managing director Robert Bell said: "SD Bell's has a very strong family heritage and long-established, loyal customer base, so it was important that any changes we made to the premises during our refurbishment did not in any way affect its strong sense of culture and ambience.
"Incremental change was no longer enough - the refurbishment this time had to be significant, but to maintain the heritage look and feel it was always our intention to make alterations as sympathetic as possible."
Daniele Delahunt, business manager of Danske Bank, said: "This company serves as an excellent example of how a family business can preserve and build upon its long heritage, while also investing in technologies such as e-commerce."
