Community to get their say over £30m vision for Junction One

By Staff Reporter

Proposals to revamp Co Antrim shopping centre Junction One - with the potential to create around 475 new jobs - are being put to the community this week.

The consultation into the £30m investment by owners The Lotus Group takes place at the centre on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Lotus Group has said the redevelopment could attract new brands to the centre - as well as creating up to 475 jobs when up and running.

It has also stated that another 430 people will be needed to carry out the building work.

Lotus Group asset and property management director Alastair Coulson said: "This is a significant investment that will change the face of Junction One.

"As part of this large-scale masterplan planning application, we are welcoming anyone with an interest in seeing the plans to come and view the information that will be on display this week."

He added: "Community consultation plays an important role in the planning process and we are going above and beyond to make sure that we have consulted with as many people as possible."

Last year Mr Coulson told the Belfast Telegraph the company was in contact with six or seven new tenants.
