Company recognised at best building awards for hotel

A £41m London hotel built by a Co Tyrone firm was praised at an awards ceremony this month.

McAleer & Rushe's Aloft London Excel hotel in the Docklands received a gong at the New London Awards, recognising the capital's best building projects.

The hotel, which has 252 loft-like guest rooms, was built for Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company. Martin Magee, director at McAleer & Rushe, said he was delighted.
