The Connect team at the Northern Ireland Science Park is running a workshop for innovative entrepreneurs and 'wantrepreneurs', looking to expand to the United States.

The free seminar - tomorrow lunchtime in the Titanic Quarter - coincides with NISP Connect's forthcoming tech mission to California, in collaboration with Invest NI.

Attendees will hear from Alan Taylor, senior partner with law firm Arthur Cox, the US Consulate's Jenny Cardell and tax expert Kevin Bell from KPMG. The session will focus on the north American market and will be hosted by NISP Connect's director Steve Orr, who himself has run a successful company in the US.

Steve said: "For many start-ups and growing companies in Northern Ireland, the US is a natural market, but the bureaucracy and financial regulations sometimes can seem intimidating.

"I would encourage local entrepreneurs to take the plunge - there really is so much opportunity. This workshop will give you the basics on which to build."
