Cookstown lands three new retailers

By John Mulgrew

A Co Tyrone town has received a retail boost with three new shops opening up - creating 15 jobs.

Cookstown's main shopping thoroughfare, James Street, now has a Specsavers, CeX and DV8 store. The total investment is worth around £1m.

Lambert Smith Hampton's retail team was involved in all three new transactions.

Gary Martin, associate director of retail agency, said: "This is a major investment by three large multinational retailers which is a sign of confidence in Northern Ireland's provincial retail offering."
