Crisis talks for Quinn lobby group
The Lobby group of businesses involved with Quinn Insurance has met the Republic’s Finance Minister and Irish politicians to outline their concerns about the current state of the company.
Concerned Irish Businesses expressed their fears about current actions relating to the future of Quinn Insurance, which was put into administration at the end of March and is set to make 900 workers on both sides of the border redundant.
The group’s spokesman, John Maguire, said the meeting with Brian Lenihan had been “constructive and purposeful”.
“We believe that there is a solution that can be arrived at to address the concerns of the financial services authority, the interests of policy holders, employees and the Irish taxpayer,” he said.
