Dale Farm is the big cheese

Ulster produce has hit the headlines in Somerset.

Dale Farm's cheese range picked up 14 gold, silver and bronze medals at the Frome Cheese Show last month. It brings the number of awards the company's cheese and butter has won over the last few months, at Frome and other industry shows such as Nantwich and The Great Taste Awards, to 29.

"Our products remain top quality thanks to the some 2,000 local dairy farmers who supply us with fresh milk," David Dobbin, Dale Farm's Chief Executive, said.

"This year's award season has proved our strategy is delivering. Not only have we increased our cheese making capacity to over 50,000 tonnes per annum, we have delivered a range of products which stand up against the best in the world."

Dale Farm's parent company United Dairy Farmers will host its AGM next month.
