Duo expand base to get slice of pizza market

By David Elliott

Pizza is on the menu for two young entrepreneurs from Banbridge who have invested in a franchise in Banbridge.

Graham Robertson and Jamie Mulholland have bought the Domino's Pizza Store and franchise situated on Church Street in the town and, in time, expect to increase the current workforce of 25.

The two have already had success in the franchising sector with a courier business which they bought three years ago. It covers the south Down region and employs six people and a number of subcontractors.

Ulster Bank has financed the entrepreneurs' latest deal through the Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme, a government-backed borrowing facility designed to support SMEs.

"Jamie and Graham have an impressive track record, having taken on and made a success of their existing business, and they have been able to demonstrate a clear plan for acquiring and developing the Domino's operation," Ulster Bank business manager Susan Nightingale said.

"They are taking on an established, proven franchise model."
