European base for Californian firm will create 10 jobs
A Californian product development corporation has announced 10 new jobs for Belfast in an investment worth £695,000.
Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Arlene Foster made the announcement from San Diego, where Leardon Solutions confirmed Northern Ireland as its new base for Europe, offering positions with salaries around £29,000.
The multinational corporation, which provides product development – including design, engineering, prototyping and manufacturing – to entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, will open a new product development and design centre.
Recruitment begins in August when development engineers, manufacturing and supply chain engineers, and programme managers will be sought to take-up positions by March 2017.
Mrs Foster said the move was another "vote of confidence in what we have to offer investors".
"Figures released in the EY Attractiveness Survey 2014 show that Northern Ireland was the best performing region in the UK last year for inward investment."
