Export boost for agri-services firm

A CO Antrim firm has secured £450,000 worth of export sales to the Republic, England and the Netherlands.

Linton Solutions is an environmental services company which supplies and installs effluent and slurry treatment systems, tank storage systems, separation systems, as well as the manufacturing of door and screen systems for industrial and agricultural buildings.

Invest NI offered over £16,000 to help Linton enhance its sales ability and profile in export markets. As a result, the company appointed a sales manager to increase sales of Linton's separator product outside Northern Ireland.

Thanks to the investment, Linton has also secured £450,000 worth of orders in the Republic of Ireland, England and Holland. Linton's is progressing towards its target of export sales worth over £500,000 by 2011.

Nigel Johnston of Linton Solutions said the support has helped the company's growth overseas. "Assistance from Invest NI has been an important component in our growth plans. Our new sales manager will make a significant contribution to export markets."

Oonagh Hinds, Invest NI, said she expects the firm to grow further. "Linton's investment to develop its market position outside Northern Ireland is beginning to pay dividends.

"With enhanced marketing expertise and management experience, Linton can actively pursue export opportunities and build on these results."
