Farm workers set to reap 1.9% wage increase

AGRICULTURAL workers could be in line for a pay rise after the Agricultural Wages Board for Northern Ireland proposed hikes in minimum rates for workers across all grades by 1.9% from April 4. The proposed rates include a minimum applicable for the first 4 weeks of cumulative employment of £6.4 per hour. There are a further five categories, rising to farm management grade at £8.6 per hour.
