Festive cheer for retail park as three new tenants check in
A Londonderry retail park has signed up three new tenants just in time for Christmas.
JD Sports, Quiz and Yankee Candle have already opened or are about to open at The Richmond Centre and will join the likes of Cheque Centre, O'Briens, Indigo and Walls Ice Cream.
Lisney associate director, Nicky Finnieston, who along with Darren Best of Colliers International, secured the lettings, said: "The Richmond Centre has been open for 26 years and despite difficulties in the past, remains a popular shopping destination in the city.
"Footfall has been increasing week-on-week in recent months, and the recent signings represent an important vote of confidence in the centre's future. JD Sports had various other options in the city but chose to stay at the Richmond Centre and to expand its presence. We are currently in advanced negotiations with five other major retailers who wish to secure space in the scheme and we hope to be making some more lettings announcements in early 2012."
JD Sports has taken a 5,000 sq ft unit, Quiz a new 1,600 sq ft store and Yankee Candle a 2,500 sq ft shop.
The Shopping Centre is run by Arrowcroft who have been appointed to asset manage the scheme and are actively working to further develop it.
