By Staff Reporter

First Trust has reopened its flagship branch in Belfast city centre following a £750,000 refurbishment.

The Donegall Square North location was unveiled last night by Richard Pym, Allied Irish Banks (AIB) chairman.

The newly opened branch will offer customers extended opening hours on Thursday evening and Saturday morning.

Richard Pym said the outlet "represents the start of a significant investment in our branch network and other channels across Northern Ireland.

"We are confident that these investments will ensure we remain relevant and accessible to our customers for many years to come," he said.

Des Moore, head of First Trust Bank, said customers would also benefit from "new technology and customer service provision".
