Going fleet first with investment drive
Passengers using Translink's Airport Express Service 300 to Belfast International Airport will soon benefit from a £1.2m investment in eight new buses.
Funded by the Department for Regional Development, the new 'Solar Rural' vehicles are being supplied by Scania and manufactured by local Ballymena-based company Wrightbus.
In addition, both Translink's 300 and 600 George Best Belfast City Airport service buses have been revamped with a new exterior.
Mark Nodder, Wright Group managing director, said: "This latest fleet investment by Translink and Belfast International Airport means that international visitors to and from Northern Ireland will be able to experience world-class comfort, quality, safety and low emissions in a fleet of vehicles bearing an eye-catching new livery which will undoubtedly attract passengers to use the service."
